Quality Representation. One Call Away.

What Is the Difference Between a Cash Bond and A Bailbondsman?

With a cash bond you are putting the entire amount of bail in cash to be held by the Court. So if you are found not guilty you get ALL your money back. If you plead guilty or do a diversion program your bond can be used for those purposes. You do not "lose" money paying a cash bond. If you do not show up for court you lose your bond.

A bailbondsman (or woman) charge you a percentage of the bond and ensure that you will show up for court. You do NOT get any money back from the bondsman. You are paying them to guarantee your presence in court and their guarantee is the reason you were allowed to get out of jail.

Misdemeanors or felonies, it works the same.
