what is minor in possession of alcohol in Alabama
In Alabama, a person under 21 cannot attempt to purchase, purchase, consume, possess, or transport alcohol.
Section 28-1-5 states the basic underage alcohol restriction, and § 28-3A-25(a)(18) separately makes underage attempt/purchase/consumption/possession/transport an offense, with misdemeanor punishment and possible license suspension under subsection (c). UA also separately prohibits underage drinking and even underage possession of alcohol paraphernalia, so a court case can easily become a campus-conduct case too.
